Meredith Salenger

Salenger was born and grew up in Malibu, California. Salenger loved performing for her family and close friends in her early years. She was 8 years old when her mother registered her for her first acting school. She played a minor role in the film as "a singing and dancing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger is also part of some commercials on television. Salenger was first cast on screen in The Journey of Natty Gann by Disney in which she was a film starring John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film received the Moscow Film Festival's gold award as the first US-made movie. The film also earned her "Best actress in a Drama" as part of the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal of the tomboyish Natty Gann. The actress also appeared in four films before she turned the age of 18. One of the films included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. She then went to Harvard to further her education.
